The "VM Houses", built by architects PLOT = BIG + JDS, are two residential blocks, there are volumetrically as two letters, in fact V and M. Transparency and privacy are two elements that are able to live in this building. All apartments have double height spaces to the north, and open views to the south. The logic of the balconies diagonals used in the V house is broken into a small portion for the M house. In this project, the type of Unit d'Habitation of Le Corbusier is reinterpreted and enhanced; the central corridors are short, and they get sun from both sides, bullet-like holes that penetrate the building. The VM has more than 80 different types of apartments, which are programmatically indivudiali flexible and open to the needs of modern life - a mosaic of different ways of life.
